Scrambled Sets of Continuous Maps of 1-dimensional Polyhedra
Let K be a 1-dimensional simplicial complex in R3 without isolated vertexes, X = |K| be the polyhedron of K with the metric dK induced by K, and f : X → X be a continuous map. In this paper we prove that if K is finite, then the interior of every scrambled set of f in X is empty. We also show that if K is an infinite complex, then there exist continuous maps from X to itself having scrambled se...
متن کاملPointwise-recurrent dendrite maps
Let D be a dendrite and f : D → D a continuous map. Denote by E(D) and B(D) the sets of endpoints and branch points of D respectively. We show that if E(D) is countable (resp. B(D) is discrete) then f is pointwise-recurrent if and only if f is pointwise periodic homeomorphism (resp. every point in D\E(D) is periodic).
متن کاملPartially continuous pretopological and topological operators for intuitionistic fuzzy sets
In this paper, pretopological and topological operators are introduced based on partially continuous linear transformations of the membership and non-membership functions for intuitionistic fuzzy sets. They turn out to be a generalization of the topological operators for intuitionistic fuzzy sets.On the other hand it is a generalization of the fuzzy set pretopological operators introduced...
متن کاملSubjective local maps for hybrid metric-topological SLAM
Hybrid maps where local metric sub-maps are kept in the nodes of a graph-based topological structure are gaining relevance as the focus of robot Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) shifts towards spatial scalability and long-term operation. In this paper we examine the applicability of spectral graph partitioning techniques to the automatic generation of metric sub-maps by establishing...
متن کاملTopological Dynamics of Exponential Maps on Their Escaping Sets
For the family of exponential maps Eκ(z) = exp(z)+κ, we prove an analog of Böttcher’s theorem by showing that any two exponential maps Eκ1 and Eκ2 are conjugate on suitable subsets of their escaping sets, and this conjugacy is quasiconformal. Furthermore, we prove that any two attracting and parabolic exponential maps are conjugate on their sets of escaping points; in fact, we construct an anal...
